Canaan Village is a nonprofit organization based in Togo (West Africa). It aims at improving the life conditions of deprived orphans and abandoned children in Togo and the neighboring countries. Canaan Village is registered under the license number 199/MATCL 2017, AUTHORIZATION NUM: 0684/MATDCL-SG-DLPAP-DOCA. The organization is operating under the laws and standards relating to the protection structure for vulnerable children in Togo (Decree 2010-100/PR of 4 August 2010).
The mission of the organization is to accommodate the deprived and abandoned orphans in all the regions of Togo and the neighboring countries. Canaan Village accommodates deprived and abandoned orphans aged from 0 to 5 years old, regardless of gender, religion or ethnic group. The aim is to provide the children with a stable and calming living environment that will allow for access to education and/or vocational training so that no child should leave Canaan village without necessary skills for social integration.
The set of interventions of Canaan Village includes:
- Providing adequate living space in shelters equipped with all the necessary equipment needed for a sound and healthy living as well as appropriate human development.
- Providing nutrition and all health and developmental care needed for children residing in our premises.
- Giving children in our premises an adequate education in settings conducive to their mental, physical and psychological development.
- Promoting family and community integration as well as social inclusion of the children we serve.
Canaan Village has launched its activity in August 2017 in a building owned by the promoters in Lomé (the capital of Togo). However, giving the size of needs in the face of the limited capacity of the current building, the organization is envisioning the creation of a Welcome Center (Canaan Village) in the suburb of the capital on a 25
acres land already acquired by the promoters (The Project).

Lomé, Tokoin Ouest is located in the maritime region of Togo. The registered office and the residential premises of Canaan Village are currently located at Tokoin – Ouest, Rue Nyamadi 127 TKO.
Opening Hours
Opening hours of the center for any outsider are: from Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Employees and Volunteers
The activities of Canaan Village are conducted by employees and volunteers under the supervision of a management team. The employees and the management team are subjected to a code of conduct designed to keep the activities in a sound and effective environment for the development of the children. All staff must treat children with respect and dignity, and foster with the relationships built on respect and mutual consideration in appropriate boundaries of a sound human relationship. Staff is also required to avoid any conduct that may hurt the feeling, the comfort and the easiness of the children.
